The Consultant Partner Program
For consultants who serve nonprofits, and for the specialists they bring with them. Free to join. No fee, no minimum, and no obligation to sell anything.
What this is
All In One Nonprofit is the software a nonprofit uses to run itself: board and governance, compliance, finances, donors, grants, people, and reporting, in one place under one sign-in. Consultants were already working inside it on behalf of their clients, so the platform grew a proper seat for them instead of asking them to borrow a client's password.
The Consultant Partner Program gives those consultants a proper place to work from. You keep your own practice, your own clients, and your own fees. What you get from us is a real seat in the product, the material to run an engagement, and a direct line to the people building it.
Free to join
There is no membership fee and no annual license. If a fee is ever introduced, it does not reach any partner already in the program on the day it is introduced.
The AI tier travels with you
Every consultant and specialist seat carries the full AI drafting tier in every client it serves, whatever plan that client is on. You do not buy it twice and your client does not pay extra for you to have it.
Your fees are yours
You bill your clients for your own services on your own terms. We do not set your rates, take a cut of your engagements, or put ourselves between you and your client.
Two roles
A nonprofit grants access once, to one person. That person can then bring in the help they need.
The consultant of record
The adviser the organization has engaged. There is exactly one consultant of record per organization, on either plan, always.
- Reads the organization's work and prepares reports on it from your own account, never a shared password.
- Edits only what the client has handed over, area by area, and only what they choose to hand over.
- Sees every client you serve in one place, with the work that needs attention brought to the top.
- Invites and manages specialists on that client, at your request or the client's.
The narrow expert
A bookkeeper, a grant writer, an HR practitioner. Brought in by the consultant of record for a named piece of work.
- Opens and edits only the areas named on the seat, and cannot see anything else in the organization.
- Invited by the consultant of record, who vouches for you and stays answerable for the seat.
- Works across several clients from one account, the same way a consultant does.
- Never granted Case Management, on any plan, in any area, without exception.
What "Partner" means here, and what it does not
Partner is a program title. It is not a legal partnership and it conveys no ownership of any kind.
Joining grants you access to the platform in a defined role and permission to describe yourself by the title while you hold it. It does not make you a partner in the legal sense, a joint venturer, a franchisee, an employee, or an agent. It gives you no equity, no ownership interest, no profit share, and no authority to make any commitment on behalf of All In One Nonprofit or A Step Ahead Media, LLC.
The platform, the software, the brand, and everything in them remain solely owned by A Step Ahead Media, LLC. The title is held at our discretion and can be ended by either side. The written agreement says all of this plainly, and you should read that rather than rely on this summary.
The client stays in control
This is the part that makes a nonprofit board comfortable, so it is worth being exact about it.
- The organization grants access, not us. An owner or administrator inside the client's own account gives you your seat. We do not place consultants into accounts.
- Editing is granted area by area. A consultant reads the organization's work by default and can change nothing until the client hands over a specific area. Read-only is a real setting, and many engagements never move off it.
- A specialist seat is narrower still. It opens only the areas named on it and is invisible everywhere else.
- Case Management is refused to every consultant and every specialist, always. It is not a permission a client can grant and no status level could ever unlock it. Client records are not ours to open and not yours.
- Nothing can be deleted by a consultant or a specialist. The destructive actions are not available on these seats.
- Every change is logged in the client's own activity record, with your name on it. That protects you at least as much as it protects them.
- The client can change or remove any seat at any moment, including the consultant of record, without asking us.
What consultant partners get
A working seat in the product
The consultant view across every client you serve, client reporting you can hand straight to a board, and the specialist seats to bring in help.
The material to run an engagement
A co-brandable client deck, a leave-behind, a demo script, proposal language, engagement playbooks, and a getting-started guide. You put your own name on them.
Three organizations to start with
When you sign the Partner Agreement, we set up three organizations under your one sign-in: your own practice organization, comped, empty and ready for your firm's work; a sample nonprofit client; and a sample business client, both filled with realistic records we invented. Learn in them, demonstrate in them, and build a proposal from them without touching a client's records.
A say in what gets built
You will be asked what is missing, and the answers change the roadmap.
A private Partner Directory
Find another partner by specialty and state when a client needs a bookkeeper, a grant writer or someone in another state. Only partners see it, and you are listed only if you choose to be.
A referral link for clients you will not take
Every partner is also a Referral Partner. Send an organization you will not serve yourself to your referral link, and when it subscribes you are paid under the Referral Program.
Being straight about what is not settled
A program page that only lists benefits is not much use for deciding. Here is the honest state of it.
- Partners are paid for the clients they bring. For each client organization you bring, we pay you 25 percent of what that client pays us, for as long as you are that client's consultant on the platform. When a client you introduce starts on the Launch Plan, we pay you 50 percent of the Launch Plan fee we collect. Nothing is paid on amounts refunded or charged back. Since October 23, 2026 the same 25 percent applies to business clients you bring to All In One For Profit: https://www.allinoneforprofit.com/partners/. Section 9 of the Consultant Partner Agreement has the full terms: https://www.allinonenonprofit.com/resources/files/aio-consultant-partner-agreement-2026-10-25.pdf
- There are no status levels today. If they come, none will ever carry deeper access to client data. The permission rules are fixed in the software and widening them is a reviewed change, not a setting.
- There is no certification program at present. One was designed and then put on hold, and we would rather say that than leave a syllabus on a page for something nobody can sit. If it comes back, it will be optional, it will not change what any seat can see, and its terms will be published before anyone is asked to take part.
- Fit comes first. We would rather turn down a fit that is wrong for the client than take the sign-up.
Bookkeepers are welcome
Bookkeeping is the work nonprofits most often need help with, and the program is built for it.
- Two ways in. Join as a Consultant Partner and be the consultant of record for the organizations whose books you keep, earning the same 25 percent on the clients you bring; or work as a Specialist Partner, invited by a client's consultant for the books only.
- The books, inside the client's own account. Financial Management keeps the budget and every transaction by category and fund, imports bank downloads and payroll reports, reconciles against the bank statement, lists Form 1099 payees and writes the board report. Online gifts, dues, tickets and auction payments record themselves, with the processing fee, so there is less to type.
- Every client in one list. The Consultant Hub shows what needs attention across all of them, worst first.
- Looking for a bookkeeper? If your organization needs one, write to [email protected] and we will introduce you to a bookkeeper in the program.
How to join
- Tell us about your practice. Who you serve, what you do for them, and how many organizations you work with in a year.
- We talk it through. A call, not a pitch. If the platform is wrong for the clients you serve, that is a useful answer and we will say so.
- Paperwork. A mutual nondisclosure agreement, then the Partner Agreement. Specialists sign the same agreement under the consultant who invites them.
- You get your seat and the material, and your first client grants you access from inside their own account.
