Use your records in Claude or ChatGPT
The AI connector lets people in your organization ask their own Claude or ChatGPT account about your records in All In One Nonprofit: "Which members are due to renew?", "How is the auction doing?", "What filings are due in the next 60 days?". It looks things up. It never changes, sends or deletes anything.
What it can look up
- Your donors and their gifts
- Your members, levels and renewal dates
- Your events, ticket sales and silent auctions
- Your filing deadlines in Compliance Tracker
- Your board and committee meetings and their minutes
- Your budget compared with actual income and expenses
- Your own to-do list
What it never does: it cannot send email or letters, take or refund payments, submit filings, delete anything or change who has access. It never reads case management, HR records, background checks or payment details. Each person sees only what their role in your organization already lets them see, and contact details are shared only with roles that can see them.
Which plans include it
AIONP Essentials and AIONP Complete, at no extra charge. It is not part of the Launch Plan, where connecting other software is not included; it becomes available the day a Launch Plan organization subscribes. Plans are on https://www.allinonenonprofit.com/pricing/.
Each person uses their own Claude or ChatGPT account. Which Claude or ChatGPT plans can add a connector is set by Anthropic and OpenAI, not by us (details in steps 2 and 3).
Step 1. The owner turns it on (once)
The connector is off until your organization's owner turns it on. Only the owner can do this.
- Open https://app.allinonenonprofit.com/connector and sign in. If you belong to more than one organization, choose it at the top.
- Read the note about where the records go, then tick "I understand, and I am turning this on for" your organization.
- Press "Turn the AI connector on".
The same page shows who is connected under "Connected now", with a "Disconnect" button for each person, and every look-up under "What the AI looked up (last 100)". "Turn the AI connector off" disconnects everyone at once.
Step 2. Connect Claude
The connector address is https://app.allinonenonprofit.com/mcp. Anthropic offers custom connectors on Free, Pro, Max, Ultra, Team and Enterprise plans; a Free account can add one.
Free, Pro, Max or Ultra (your own account)
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Press + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it All In One Nonprofit, paste the connector address and press Continue. Keep the sign-in settings Claude finds and press Add.
- Our sign-in screen opens: "Connect Claude to All In One Nonprofit". Sign in if asked, choose your organization and press "Allow".
Team or Enterprise
- An owner adds it once: Organization settings, then Connectors, press Add, hover over Custom and choose Web. Name it, paste the connector address, press Continue, then Add.
- Then each person opens Customize, then Connectors, finds All In One Nonprofit and presses Connect, then "Allow" on our sign-in screen.
In a chat: press the + button at the lower left, choose Connectors and make sure All In One Nonprofit is switched on. Anthropic's own instructions are at https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp.
Step 3. Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT adds custom connectors on the web only, not in its phone apps. OpenAI decides which plans can: its help article names Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces (where only admins and owners can add one) and says Pro accounts can connect read-only. We connected it from a ChatGPT Plus account on November 4, 2026, but OpenAI does not promise that for Plus. Check https://help.openai.com/en/articles/12584461-connecting-custom-mcp-servers-in-chatgpt for your plan.
- At https://chatgpt.com/, open Plugins in the left sidebar.
- Press Add at the top right and choose Add custom MCP server.
- Under Name, type All In One Nonprofit. Under Connection, leave Server URL selected and paste https://app.allinonenonprofit.com/mcp. Leave Authentication on OAuth; ChatGPT finds the rest by itself.
- Tick "I understand and want to continue" and press "Create as a plugin".
- ChatGPT shows its own screen headed with the name you typed. Press its Connect button.
- Our sign-in screen opens: "Connect ChatGPT to All In One Nonprofit". Sign in if asked, choose your organization and press "Allow".
In a chat: type @ in the message box and choose All In One Nonprofit. ChatGPT uses it for that message only, so type @ again when a follow-up question needs new records.
Things to ask
- "Which members haven't renewed this year?"
- "Who were our top donors this year, and what did each give?"
- "How is the November auction doing, and which items have no bids?"
- "What filings are due in the next 60 days?"
- "Summarize the action items from our last board meeting."
- "How does our budget compare with actual spending so far this year?"
Claude or ChatGPT can draft thank-you letters or a board summary from what it finds, but it cannot send them. You send anything yourself, from All In One Nonprofit or your own email.
If something does not work
- "The owner of this organization has not turned on the AI connector." The owner needs to do step 1.
- "The AI connector is part of AIONP Essentials and AIONP Complete. Connecting other software is not included in the Launch Plan." The organization is on the Launch Plan.
- "This connection request is not valid". Remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT and add it again.
- An answer says your role does not include an app. The connector follows your role in the organization; ask an owner or admin if you need more.
To stop using it, remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT, or ask the owner to press "Disconnect" beside your name at https://app.allinonenonprofit.com/connector.
