Accepting payments with Stripe

All In One Nonprofit processes your organization's payments through Stripe. With one connection you can accept online donations, membership dues, event tickets, and paid forms, and the money goes straight to your own Stripe account and bank. Here is how to connect it.

What you will need

A Stripe account for your nonprofit. If you do not have one yet, you can create it for free during the connection steps below, no separate signup needed first. Stripe's standard rate is 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, but verified 501(c)(3) nonprofits qualify for a reduced rate of 2.2% + 30¢ on donations. All In One Nonprofit does not add any fee on top.

How to connect Stripe (a few minutes)

  1. Open Donor Management and go to Organization Settings.
  2. Find the Online Donations section and click Connect Stripe.
  3. A secure Stripe window opens. Sign in to your organization's Stripe account, or create one right there if you are new to Stripe.
  4. Approve the connection. You will land back in All In One Nonprofit showing Connected.
  5. Set your notification email so you are alerted on each payment, and copy your giving link to share.

That one connection powers every payment feature across All In One Nonprofit, so once it is on, your donation page, dues, event tickets, and paid forms can all collect money.

After connecting

Payments flow directly into your own Stripe account on Stripe's normal payout schedule. Each gift, dues payment, or ticket sale is recorded automatically in the relevant app (for example, online gifts appear in Donor Management). For the full walkthrough including fees, payouts, receipts, and how to test a payment, see the Online Donations guide.

Adding PayPal for donations

If your nonprofit prefers PayPal, you can add a PayPal donation link too. In Donor Management → Organization Settings → Online Donations, paste your own PayPal.me link (for example https://paypal.me/YourOrg) or your PayPal "Donate" button link. A "Give with PayPal" button then appears on your public giving page, sending supporters straight to your PayPal.

A couple of things to know: PayPal gifts go directly to your PayPal account but are not auto-recorded in Donor Management, so you reconcile them from PayPal's own receipts (you can still add them manually). The PayPal link covers general donations only; for membership dues, event tickets, and paid forms, use Stripe, which handles amount-specific, automatically tracked checkout.

Would you rather we set it up for you?

If you would prefer not to handle the Stripe connection yourself, our team can set up online payments for you as a paid concierge service, and confirm your donation page, dues, tickets, and forms are all ready to collect.
