What Zeffy does well
Credit where it is due. Zeffy has built a strong set of fundraising tools and charges the organization nothing for them.
Free to the organization
No platform fee, no transaction fee, no card fee, no subscription. Zeffy pays its costs from a voluntary contribution it asks each donor to add at checkout. Zeffy says about two donors in three add one. Some donors and some boards like that model and some do not; that is a choice for your organization, and we think you should make it with your eyes open.
Every way to raise money online
Donation forms with recurring giving, event tickets with check-in, raffles, auctions, peer to peer campaigns, an online store, memberships with renewals, and a tap to pay app for in-person gifts. If your need is a fundraiser, Zeffy covers it.
A capable donor record and email
Contact records with full giving history, saved filters, households, notes and tasks, automatic tax receipts, and an email builder with generous sending limits. For an organization whose whole operation is asking and thanking, that is most of what it needs.
Open to most organizations
Any United States nonprofit with an EIN and a bank account in the organization's name, including sports teams, PTAs, scout troops and student groups. Also available in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.
What Zeffy does not do
Taking the money is the easy half. Zeffy has no answer for the rest of running an organization, and does not claim to. This is where All In One Nonprofit lives.
The board
Meetings, minutes, attendance, terms, officers, committees, the handbook, policies, e-signatures and a board report built from your real numbers. Zeffy has no board features at all.
Compliance and filings
A calendar of state and federal deadlines, Form 990 preparation, charitable registration, a document retention schedule and an audit trail. Zeffy offers a searchable list of grants; it does not track a single filing.
The books
A ledger, a budget against actual, restricted funds, and the financial report your treasurer presents. Zeffy syncs payments one way into QuickBooks and stops there.
People
Staff records, time off, reviews and credentials; volunteer screenings, hours and expiring background checks. In Zeffy a volunteer is a contact.
Programs, participants and impact
Case management with a public intake form, impact measurement by program, grant proposals with reporting deadlines, and an annual report and periodic reports on your letterhead. None of this exists in Zeffy.

A workspace across every organization you belong to, a read-only consultant role, and reports prepared on one organization's letterhead for another. Zeffy is one organization per account.

Using both
Nonprofits can fundraise on Zeffy and manage the rest of their organization on All In One Nonprofit, and that works. Keep your Zeffy forms if your donors are used to them. Bring the results here so the gifts show up in your donor records, your books and your board report instead of living only in Zeffy: export your payments and contacts from Zeffy as a spreadsheet and import them in Donor Management and Financial Management, where the import maps the columns and can be undone with one click. Zeffy has already sent the tax receipt, so here you send the thank-you letter on your letterhead.
If you would rather take donations without asking your donors for anything extra, the giving page here runs on your own Stripe or PayPal account with no platform fee and no prompt. Both paths end in the same place: every gift in one set of records that the rest of the organization can use.
Which one is for you
Choose Zeffy alone if
Your organization is a fundraiser and not much else: a one-event charity, a booster club that needs a donate button and tickets, a group with no board meetings to run and no filings to track. Zeffy will do that well and for free.
Choose All In One Nonprofit if
You have a board, a filing calendar, a budget, volunteers or staff, programs with participants, and funders who ask for reports. Take donations here on your own Stripe, or keep Zeffy for the forms and bring the gifts in. Either way, this is where the organization runs.
